The Svadhisthana, our “Sweet Abode” lets us feel more creative, sensual, playful, and feel more pleasure!

The Svadhisthana Chakra, or sacral plexus, is located above the pubic bone below the navel.  It is associated with the testes, ovaries, bladder, kidneys, gall bladder, and spleen. The Svadhisthana is known as our “Sweet Abode”, where our sweetness and joy reside.

The cells of the sacral area vibrate at an electromagnetic frequency of 417 Hz. This frequency corresponds to higher wavelengths of the color spectrum, which are warmer colors. We see the Svadhisthana Chakra in the wavelength of 635-590 nm, the color orange. We can consume foods with the color orange to heal the sacral area!

Our “Sweet Abode” is known to be fluid and receptive. We want to nourish our sacral area with lots of hydration and foods to heal our reproductive centers, kidneys, and spleen.

Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Cake

Svadhisthana, sweet abode, sacral plexus. Food for sacral plexus

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter (I use 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup olive oil)

1 cup cocao powder (I use Peruvian cocao powder)

2 cups water

2 cups brown sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp cinnamon

1 1/4 tsp baking soda (1 1/3 tsp if above 3,500 ft/1066m)

1/2 tsp of salt

1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Glaze two (8×2) pans or one (9×13) pan with oil or butter.

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add cocao, sugar, and water. Once all is mixed, remove from stovetop, allow to cool.

In a large separate bowl add flour, cinnamon, chocolate chips, salt, and baking soda.

When saucepan is cooled, add eggs and vanilla extract.

Transfer chocolate mixture in saucepan to large bowl. Mix all ingredients until smooth.

Transfer to baking pan. I like to add a brushing of cinnamon on top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes. Test center of cake with toothpick. If still liquid bake slightly longer.

Allow to cool before serving. You can add whip cream, your choice of frosting, or a scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream!

Enjoy!
