Step into “la luz” – the light, your light
A few moments of silence can impact your health and mind in a profound way. These are moments where you build a solid and more powerful relationship with yourself. Moments that no one and nothing can take away from you. We call it meditation or “dhyana” in Sanskrit, which means reflection or contemplation. To me, I call it listening. A few moments to just feel, allows your heart the platform to speak.
A few minutes of sitting in silence goes a long way. The parasympathetic nervous system in the body is activated, this is the “relaxation response.” The stress hormone cortisol decreases, which changes the chemical makeup of the body. When this hormone decreases, the body starts to balance. The heart rate slows down, blood pressure decreases, and the body’s natural healing abilities kick in.
You can feel and see the difference in the body. Your skin glows, your face looks youthful, and you exude the air of self assuredness.
These moments of silence cause substantial effects on physical and mental health. This is all coming from a stronger connection to yourself. When you’re in this state of connection, your compassion, strength, and softness penetrate through. You glow, you radiate. You literally have more light in every cell of your body.
When a cell of human tissue is healthy it vibrates at a higher frequency, when ill, it vibrates at a much lower frequency. When a cell is healthy, it emits more photons, or light particles. The more photons the cell has, it literally “lights” up creating an aura.
A few moments of silence brings out your essence. You function from a place of clarity, strength, and passion. The cells in your body regenerate and function at capacity. Your own “light” is essentially the make up of a healthy body and healthy mind. Take a few moments each day to tap into “La Luz” the light, and watch your world change.
